Built for a real decision, not a generic financial review
I built this engagement for owners facing questions such as:
Can we afford the next hire, location, or growth initiative?
Why is revenue growing while cash remains tight?
Which customers, projects, products, or channels make money?
What must change before we seek financing, buy a company, or prepare for an exit?
What should the finance team focus on during the next 90 days?
I won’t promise a predetermined dollar result before I’ve seen the business. What I promise is a defined process, a 10-business-day turnaround after complete data is received, and a practical decision agenda.
What you receive
01
A 13-week cash and working-capital view
A practical forward view of expected cash receipts, obligations, timing risks, and the operating assumptions that matter most.
02
A margin and profitability map
Analysis structured around the way your company earns money - by customer, project, service, product, location, or channel - subject to data availability.
03
A prioritized 90-day CFO action plan
A concise list of decisions, actions, owners, deadlines, and measures. The objective is to separate urgent financial work from low-value reporting activity.
04
An owner readout
A working session with me to review the findings, pressure-test assumptions, and determine the right next step.
The 10-business-day process
The 10-business-day clock begins after the complete agreed data package is received.
01
Fit and scope call
Confirm the decision, data condition, stakeholders, and success criteria.
02
Secure data request
You send the agreed financial statements, operational data, forecasts, and supporting schedules.
03
Analysis and management questions
I review the information and resolve the most important gaps with leadership.
04
Decision readout
We review cash, margin, risks, and the 90-day action plan together.
Investment
When an ongoing Fractional CFO engagement begins within 14 days of the readout, some or all of the diagnostic fee may be credited toward the first month. The exact credit is defined in the proposal.
Planning range
$3,000 - $5,000
Based on complexity and data readiness. Confirmed after the fit and scope call.
What I need from you
The specific request depends on the decision, but it commonly includes:
Recent monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Accounts receivable and accounts payable aging.
Cash balances and major upcoming obligations.
Budget, forecast, or operating plan if one exists.
Customer, project, product, service, location, or channel data where available.
Payroll or headcount information relevant to the decision.
Time with the owner and the person responsible for the books.
When the diagnostic is not the right starting point
It’s not appropriate when the books are materially incomplete, the immediate need is tax compliance, leadership cannot provide the required information, or the company wants a broad operational audit without a defined financial decision.
